Monitor

25 years? I've had 2 kidney stnoes and both passed within about 2 weeks. Why haven't the doctors talked about lithotripsy (ultrasonic smashing of the stnoes, non-invasive procedure) or even surgery to remove them? Stones are usually quite painful, I can say that. If I were you I'd be asking why the stnoes can't be removed and what can be done to improve the efficiency of the kidneys. Even if her fluid intake has been carefully monitored for 25 years, shouldn't something be done about removing that stone? No offense to her physicians, but if this were me I'd be looking for a second opinion. Was this answer helpful?
